Accountant

**Job Summary:** The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate cost tracking, and supporting financial operations within a cable manufacturing environment. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting activities, monitoring production costs, inventory valuation, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** * Maintain accurate accounting records for daily transactions (AP, AR, GL). * Monitor and control manufacturing costs, including raw materials (copper, aluminum, PVC/XLPE), labor, and overheads. * Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly closing reports. * Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and customer collections. * Track inventory valuation and coordinate with stores and production teams. * Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. * Prepare financial reports, MIS reports, and cost analysis for management. * Ensure compliance with company policies, VAT regulations, and audit requirements. * Support internal and external audits. * Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and production teams for cost control and accuracy. **Qualifications & Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * 3–6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing or cable industry. * Strong knowledge of costing, inventory accounting, and financial reporting. * Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred). * Good understanding of VAT and financial regulations. * Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. **Preferred Skills:** * Experience in manufacturing cost accounting. * Knowledge of IFRS standards. * Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
