**About the job** ----------------- Provide support for daily accounting operations by handling data entry, recording journal entries, and performing reconciliations. Manage supplier invoices on the ERP system while maintaining organized records across all processing stages. Ensure proper filing of accounting documents in both hard and soft copies, and prepare necessary records for external audits, including supporting documentation for queries. Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, while contributing to the timely and accurate reporting of financial information. **Main Duties and Responsibilities** ------------------------------------ * Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry, journal entries, and reconciliations. * Data Entry for all the supplier invoices on the ERP system. * Prepare and maintain all required files at every stage of the processing of invoices (pending completion: unpaid/ partially - fully paid, completed: unpaid/ partially- fully paid). * Organize and maintain the appropriate filing (Hardcopy / Softcopy) of all accounting closure printouts: balances, ledgers, journals, etc. * Prepare records to be put at the disposal of external auditors and in tracing documents required to answer queries. * Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. * Contribute to the accurate and timely reporting of financial information. **Qualifications/Experience required** -------------------------------------- * Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Experience: +2 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the construction, industrial, or rail sector. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and financial regulations. Proven experience in managing financial reporting and budgeting processes. Fair in accounting software (e.g., JADE, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to develop and implement financial policies and best practices. Experience with tax compliance and regulatory reporting is advantageous. Familiarity with financial audits and internal controls.
