Accountant – Jewellery Industry Experience Preferred

**About Us** Dargan Diamonds is a growing fine jewellery brand in Dubai specialising in diamond and gold jewellery. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented **Accountant** with jewellery accounting experience who can also manage **AML / Compliance responsibilities** for the business. **Key Responsibilities** **Accounting & Finance** * Manage daily bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and accounts management * Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and management reports * Handle receivables, payables, supplier payments, and cash flow tracking * Reconcile POS, website, Shopify, and bank transactions * Prepare VAT workings and support filings * Monitor gross margins, expenses, and profitability * Manage payroll and staff expense records **Jewellery Inventory Control** * Maintain accurate gold, diamond, and jewellery stock records * Perform stock reconciliations and valuation checks * Monitor stock movement, memo stock, and shrinkage controls **AML / Compliance Responsibilities** * Handle AML compliance requirements for jewellery business operations * Conduct KYC / customer due diligence for applicable transactions * Maintain transaction monitoring records * Prepare and maintain compliance files and internal registers * Coordinate required reporting submissions and deadlines * Ensure internal AML policies are followed and updated * Liaise with management regarding suspicious or reportable activity where required **Requirements** * Minimum **3+ years accounting experience** * Prior **jewellery industry experience strongly preferred** * Previous **AML / Compliance experience** in UAE preferred * Knowledge of jewellery stock systems, margins, making charges, gold movement * Strong Excel and accounting software skills (Tally) * Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations * Organised, trustworthy, confidential, and proactive * Hindi speaking is an advantage but not a deal breaker **Ideal Candidate** * Can independently manage accounts + compliance * Understands retail operations and internal controls * Comfortable working in a fast-growing business environment * Strong attention to detail Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month Experience: * jewellery accounting: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: * accounting degree (Required) Work Location: In person
