Accounting Supervisor

We are building the infrastructure for the next phase of financial compliance and digital transformation in the region, with a strong focus on e-invoicing and scalable financial operations **Job Purpose** --------------- You will supervise a team of accountants to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, account reconciliations and preparation of compliant financial reports for our client portfolio. It involves supervising daily operations, enforcing adherence to SOPs, and taking corrective technical actions when needed. In addition, the position coordinates closely with the Financial Account Manager, who manages client interactions, to guarantee smooth onboarding and a positive customer experience throughout the engagement. **Primary Responsibilities** ---------------------------- * Lead and supervise a team of accountants (4 +/-) providing guidance, training and support to ensure high performance and productivity. * Work closely with Financial Account Managers (FAM), providing technical and financial guidance. * Manage the team's workload and priorities, assigning tasks and deadlines to ensure timely completion of deliverables in coordination with FAM. * Approve financial statements and reports prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards when needed. * Coordinate with FAM to address any client-specific requirements or issues and ensure alignment between the front and back-office teams. * Monitor the response time of FAM’s & Accountants to client requests and inquiries. Evaluate and provide feedback to ensure timely and efficient communication with clients, maintaining a high level of responsiveness and professionalism, including making happy calls with the clients after the onboarding. * Participate in onboarding meetings & system training with new clients (FAM will represent Mazeed in the meetings) to understand their requirements and provide recommendations. * Monitor daily KPI report to evaluate team performance for FAM’s for the technical side (with accordance with the OPS manager) & with Accountants directly. **Core Values** --------------- Being a mazeeder, our promise to customers, internal teams, HR and Leadership is to demonstrate our core values in our daily interactions and quality of work: * Integrity * Customer Obsession * Simplicity * Growth Mindset * Innovation * Empowerment #### **Essential Skills and Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance * 8 years of accounting operations experience across multiple domains, with a 2-year supervisory experience (must-have) * Working knowledge of tax laws, GAAP and IFRS * Familiarity with Finance ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. * C1 or above in English level. #### **Desireable Skills and Qualifications** Professional certificates or related post graduate certificates (MBA, IFRS, CA, CMA, FMVA, etc.)
