Job description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented **Senior Accountant** to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing comprehensive bookkeeping services and possess hands-on experience utilizing Zoho CRM.
In this role, you will oversee complex accounting activities, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and manage the integration of financial data within our CRM system. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our accounting processes and customer relationship management, ensuring seamless billing, reporting, and financial forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
**Accounting & Bookkeeping**
* Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and general ledger maintenance.
* Perform daily and monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
* Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing necessary journal entries and adjusting entries.
* Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
* Provide high-level bookkeeping services, ensuring all financial transactions are categorized correctly and compliant with GAAP (or local accounting standards).
* Assist with tax preparation and coordinate with external auditors or tax professionals as needed.
* Mentor and guide junior accounting staff or bookkeeping assistants.
**Zoho CRM & Systems Management**
* Utilize **Zoho CRM** to track client accounts, billing information, and sales data as it relates to financial forecasting.
* Ensure seamless integration and data accuracy between Zoho CRM and our primary accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero).
* Create and maintain financial dashboards, custom reports, and workflows within Zoho CRM to streamline invoicing and payment tracking.
* Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies and optimize the quote-to-cash process within the CRM.
* Maintain data hygiene within the CRM regarding client financial profiles and contract renewals.
Qualifications & Requirements
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred).
* **Experience:** 4+ years of progressive accounting and bookkeeping experience.
* Proven experience managing books for multiple entities, clients, or complex business structures.
