Civil Site Engineer

**Job Title: Site Engineer** **Job Summary** The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring that construction activities are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, project timelines, and quality standards. The role involves coordination between different disciplines, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Site Execution & Supervision** * Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities. * Ensure work is carried out as per approved **IFC drawings**, specifications, and method statements. * Monitor daily progress and report to the Project Manager. * Ensure proper sequencing of works to avoid delays. **2. Coordination** * Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams (civil, MEP, joinery, etc.). * Liaise with consultants and clients for inspections and approvals. * Attend site meetings and provide technical input. **3. Quality Control** * Ensure all works comply with project specifications and quality standards. * Raise and follow up on **WIRs (Work Inspection Requests)**. * Monitor material approvals and ensure only approved materials are used. * Identify and rectify defects or non-conformances. **4. Planning & Progress Tracking** * Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against the project schedule. * Assist in preparing lookahead programs. * Highlight delays and propose mitigation measures. **5. Technical Support** * Interpret drawings and resolve technical issues on site. * Coordinate with the design team for clarifications (RFI process). * Ensure proper implementation of shop drawings. **6. Health & Safety** * Ensure compliance with HSE policies and site safety regulations. * Conduct site inspections to maintain a safe working environment. * Coordinate with safety officers for toolbox talks and risk assessments. **7. Documentation & Reporting** * Maintain site records (daily reports, manpower, materials). * Prepare progress reports and updates. * Ensure proper documentation for inspections, approvals, and handover. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. * Minimum **3–5 years of experience** in construction/fit-out projects (UAE experience preferred). * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards. **Skills & Competencies** * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. * Strong coordination and communication skills. * Problem-solving and decision-making ability. * Knowledge of QA/QC procedures. * Familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Office. * Understanding of UAE regulations and authority requirements (ADM preferred). **Preferred Requirements (For UAE Market)** * UAE driving license. * Experience in fit-out / interior projects. * Familiar with authority approvals (ADM, ADDC, Civil Defense, etc.). **Reporting To** * Project Manager / Construction Manager **KPIs (Performance Indicators)** * Project progress vs schedule * Quality compliance (minimal NCRs) * Timely inspections and approvals * Coordination efficiency * Safety compliance on site Application Question(s): * Nationality * Years of experience in UAE * Do you have a car ? * Can you Join immediately ? * Expected Salary Work Location: In person
