Design Engineer

**Responsibilities and Duties:** * Design, develop, and simulate mechanical components and systems. * Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings. * Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and stress analyses. * Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, product development, and R&D. * Select materials and components that align with design requirements. * Optimize designs for efficiency, cost, and manufacturability. * Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. * Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during production or testing phases. * Stay up to date with new technologies, industry trends, and best practices. * Assessing a design brief to gauge the design requirements * Conducting and/or using research on user experience and needs, current market trends and general functionality * Developing solutions that solve user problems * Determining whether a design solution is user-friendly, cost-effective and environmentally friendly * Creating multiple iterations of design prototypes using computer-aided design tools * Conducting rigorous usability tests and modifying the product based on the test results * Evaluating design solutions against industry standards and regulations Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in **Mechanical Engineering** (or related field). * Proven experience in design engineering, preferably in [specific industry]. * Proficiency in **CAD software** (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA). * Strong understanding of **engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes**. * Knowledge of simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) is a plus. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication skills for collaboration and reporting. * Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
