Design & Estimation Engineer

**Engineer (Design and Estimation)** with UAE based progressive experience of not less than 5 years in the following sectors: **- Fire Protection Systems** **- MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)** **- Water & Wastewater Treatment** **- Security Solutions** (SIRA & MCC Certification) **/ ELV** **- General Facilities Management** **Key Responsibilities & Roles** * **Design Development:** Create engineering designs, layouts, and drawings using CAD software for tender submissions or project execution. Ensure designs meet codes, are cost-effective, collaborating with clients, suppliers, and site teams to bridge engineering design with financial feasibility. * **Estimation & Costing:** Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. * **Technical Compliance:** Ensure all designs conform to local regulations (UAE Life and Safety Codes) and industry standards (e.g., NFPA). * **Tendering Support:** Review project specs to develop competitive bids and technical proposals. * **Coordination:** Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal procurement teams for technical approvals. * **Site Support:** Occasionally conduct site visits to verify site conditions for design accuracy. * Team Management * Project Management **Required Skills and Qualifications** * **Education:** Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Fire Protection). * **Software Proficiency:** AutoCAD, HASS, Procore, Epicor, CRM * **Experience:** 5–10 years of experience in specialized fields like firefighting systems, structural fabrication, or civil construction. * **Knowledge:** Expertise in cost analysis, tender documentation, and value engineering * UAE Driver's License * Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic language would be an added advantage Full time, based in Abu Dhabi Work Location: In person
