Design & Estimation Engineer - Lighting

**Job Title:** Design & Estimation Engineer – Lighting **Location:** Dubai **Experience:** 2–5 years (preferred) **Industry:** Architectural / Commercial Lighting **Job Overview** We are seeking a Design & Estimation Engineer with experience in lighting systems to support project execution from concept to cost evaluation. The role involves preparing lighting layouts, technical documentation, and accurate project estimations aligned with client requirements and industry standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop lighting design layouts using AutoCAD, Dialux, or Relux * Perform lux level calculations and ensure compliance with project specifications * Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimations * Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents * Coordinate with sales, procurement, and project teams for pricing and technical inputs * Suggest suitable lighting products and alternatives based on design intent and budget * Prepare technical submittals and documentation for client approval * Assist in value engineering to optimize cost without compromising quality * Maintain project data, cost records, and design revisions **Required Skills & Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field * Proficiency in AutoCAD and lighting design software (Dialux/Relux) * Strong understanding of lighting principles, fixtures, and controls * Knowledge of estimation, costing, and BOQ preparation * Ability to interpret architectural and electrical drawings * Good analytical and numerical skills * Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation tools Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
