**Project Overview** The Taweelah C Project is a landmark greenfield development in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, representing one of the region’s most advanced and efficient combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plants. With an installed capacity of approximately 2.6 GW, the project will play a critical role in supporting the UAE’s growing electricity demand while delivering high efficiency and lower emissions through state-of-the-art technology. The project brings together leading international partners with Al Jomaih Energy and Water Co. Ltd. (AEW) and Sembcorp Utilities Pte. Ltd. (Sembcorp) together with TAQA acting as the Project Company Taweelah C offers a unique opportunity to be part of a high-profile infrastructure project that will set new benchmarks in performance, reliability, and sustainability in the region’s power sector. **Location:** Taweelah, Abu Dhabi, UAE (Site is 30 to 40 Kms from Abu Dhabi city) Duration: 2.5 years **Overview** Overall Engineering oversight during the construction phase of the project, ensuring EPC Contractor delivers a fully compliant plant, with a focus on safety, quality, performance, reliability, and operational flexibility, while optimizing project and lifecycle costs in accordance with EPC Contract, Owners Requirements and International Standards leading the engineering team. **Requirements** **Your Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities)** * Lead and coordinate the design review process with the OE to review and approve the basic & detailed engineering design submitted by EPC Contractor for the CCGT plant layout, HBD, PFD and P&ID, SLD, foundation & structure design, control philosophy, hydraulic & cooling system, HP/MP/LP piping system, major equipment specification & data sheets. * Develop and monitor the key engineering deliverables including all the design calculation and design drawings. * Lead the weekly engineering meeting with EPC and OE to ensure all engineering design issues being properly addressed and resolved in time. * Oversee and coordinate with EPC design team with a focus on safety, quality, performance, reliability, and operational flexibility, while optimizing project and lifecycle costs. * Lead and work with OE team to ensure all the engineering design shall comply with all the international codes & standards and local authorities’ requirements as per the PPA and EPC Contract. * Participate in project execution and provide the support for the design change during the installation, testing, and commissioning. * Participate in HAZOP, QRA, ESIA studies. * Ensure engineering support is provided in a timely manner to all stakeholders through resource planning, close collaboration with disciplined engineers and team members, contractor management, etc. * Identify and mitigate engineering risks including interface risks, constructability issues. Maintain engineering risk register * Provide change management and claim support in relation to technical deviations and variation and change orders * Providing technical inputs when required for claims evaluation and dispute resolutions * Where applicable, provide training and guidance to other team members. **Qualifications & Skill Sets** * Bachelor's degree in thermal process or mechanical engineering, or equivalent. * Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering and project management within the CCGT energy sector. * Proficiency in multiple energy resource simulation and optimization tools is advantageous. * Good understanding in International Codes and Standards such as ASME, API, IEEE, rules and regulations would be an advantage. * Good software knowledge and skills in MS Office, AutoCAD, and/or MS Project * Decisive and solution – oriented individual to resolve project and engineering issues promptly. * Attention to detail for documentation and quality management * Excellent communication and reporting skills. * Ability to work independently and lead teams. * Strong ethical standards.
