Estimation Engineer – Ground Engineering

Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Estimation Engineer with strong expertise in microtunneling (NDRC), pipeline, and ground engineering works. The role will focus on preparing accurate cost estimates, handling authority tenders (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DEWA), and supporting project execution through effective cost planning and tender management. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for: * Microtunneling (NDRC) works * Pipeline utility works (pipelaying, excavation, shoring) * Manholes, chambers, and related civil structures * Piling and deep foundation works * Review tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications to produce accurate and competitive bids * Handle tender submissions for Dubai Municipality (DM), DEWA, and other government authorities * Conduct quantity take-offs and develop detailed cost breakdowns (materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors) * Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations * Analyze project risks, methodology, and constructability; include contingencies in pricing * Participate in post-tender clarifications and negotiations with clients * Support handover of awarded projects to the project delivery team * Maintain cost databases and historical data for benchmarking and future tenders * Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives Qualifications & Requirements : * Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field * Minimum 5–8 years of estimation experience, preferably in UAE infrastructure projects. Proven experience in: * Microtunneling (NDRC) and trenchless works * Pipeline and utility works in Dubai * Tendering for Dubai Municipality and DEWA projects Strong knowledge of: * Pipeline installation methods, excavation, and shoring systems * Shaft construction and trenchless technology * Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools for BOQ preparation and cost modelling * Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills * Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines Preferred Skills : * Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and tendering procedures * Experience in UAE/KSA infrastructure and ground engineering projects * Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills Job Type: Full-time Application Question(s): * Do you have experience in estimating for Ground Engineering works (Piling, Shoring, or Foundation works)?
