We are seeking a dedicated **Excavation Health & Safety Engineer** to support safe delivery of extensive earthworks, trenching, and excavation activities within a high‑profile hospitality project in **AlUla** . Working closely with the H&S Manager, you will help ensure that all excavation operations meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and environmental protection. * Support the H&S Manager in implementing the project’s Health & Safety Plan, with a focus on excavation and earthworks activities. * Monitor daily site operations to ensure compliance with safety procedures, permit‑to‑work systems, and excavation safety protocols. * Conduct routine inspections of trenches, shoring systems, access/egress, and equipment used in excavation works. * Assist in hazard identification, risk assessments, and method statement reviews for excavation‑related tasks. * Verify that protective systems (shoring, benching, sloping) are installed and maintained correctly. * Ensure safe coordination between excavation teams, plant operators, and adjacent work activities. * Support incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action implementation. * Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings related to excavation, confined spaces, and ground stability. * Maintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and inspection records. * Promote a strong safety culture and encourage safe behaviors across all site teams. * 5+ years of experience in construction site safety, ideally with a focus on excavation, earthworks, or civil works. * BSc in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline). * Strong understanding of excavation hazards, shoring systems, and safe work practices. * Experience working on large‑scale infrastructure or hospitality projects is an advantage. * Familiarity with Middle East safety regulations; Saudi experience preferred. * Strong communication skills and the ability to influence safe behavior on site.
