Flight control Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled **Autopilot / Flight Control Engineer** to design, develop, and optimize flight control systems for uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in control systems, embedded programming, and autonomous navigation, with hands-on experience in real-world drone systems. This role involves working on the core intelligence of UAVs, enabling stable flight, autonomous operations, and advanced navigation in both GPS and GPS-denied environments. **Key Responsibilities** · Design and develop flight control algorithms for UAV stability and navigation · Implement and tune cascaded control systems (PID loops) for roll, pitch, yaw, and position control · Develop and optimize autopilot software for autonomous flight missions · Integrate and validate sensors such as IMU, GPS, magnetometer, barometer, and vision systems · Work on GPS and GPS-denied navigation systems using sensor fusion techniques · Develop real-time software using C/C++ for embedded systems · Deploy and manage applications on embedded Linux platforms (e.g., Jetson, Raspberry Pi, Pixhawk) · Perform system testing, simulation, and flight validation · Optimize system performance for real-time constraints and reliability · Collaborate with hardware, software, and operations teams for full system integration · Document system architecture, algorithms, and testing procedures **Education** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Electronics Engineering/ Robotics/ Mechatronics/ Aerospace Engineering **Technical Skills (Must Have)** · Strong programming skills in C/C++ (mandatory) · Solid understanding of control systems (PID, cascaded control loops) · Experience with UAV/drone flight control systems · Knowledge of sensor fusion (IMU, GPS integration) · Hands-on experience with embedded systems and real-time programming · Familiarity with autonomous navigation systems **Preferred Skills (Good to Have)** · Experience with PX4 / ArduPilot / Arduino · Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) · Experience in MATLAB/Simulink or similar simulation tools · Knowledge of computer vision and ML for robotics · Experience with swarm drone systems · Understanding of wireless communication and telemetry systems **Experience** · 2–6 years for mid-level roles (Autopilot Engineer/ Flight Control) · Proven experience in real-world UAV projects is highly preferred Contact Number - **+971542573836** Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
