HSE Engineer

Position Title: HSE ENGINEER - ADNOC OFFSHORE & ONSHORE PROJECTS Criteria Elements Criteria Description Education Qualification Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering OR Bachelor Degree in relevant Science OR HSE discipline. Professional / Technical Qualifications Minimum one of the following: ▪ NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent ▪ Any other HSE certifications Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage. (IMS/ISO Auditor, Train to trainer etc..) Work Experience Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations in the oil & gas or ptero- chemical industries. Skills and Competencies ▪ Have strong understanding of the HSE issues, practices and behavioural aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business. ▪ Able to lead a team of HSE personnel such as HSE officers, Transport Coordinator & Hygiene officers etc. ▪ Sound understanding of the HSE Management System and HSE legislative requirements. ▪ Ability to develop and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures / work instructions. ▪ Practical experience in implementation of SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.) ▪ Ability to conduct training/awareness sessions on relevant HSE procedures applicable to the SOW. ▪ Ability to implement practical H2S control measures. ▪ Ability to conduct HSE audits and inspections. ▪ Ability to investigate incidents, identify immediate and root causes. ▪ Ability to speak, read and write English with good communication skills. ▪ Effective interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills. ▪ Willing to work in various offshore sites ▪ Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills ▪ Leadership and Teamwork ▪ Familiarity with ongoing HSE management software, incident reporting systems, and data analysis tools.
