Junior Accountant

**Position:** Junior Accountant **Location:** DIP 1, Dubai, UAE] **Employment Type:** Full-time **Job Summary:** We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Junior Accountant** to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least **1–3 years of accounting experience**, preferably in the **construction industry**, and will support day-to-day financial operations, recordkeeping, and reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** * Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations. * Record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. * Prepare and issue invoices, follow up on collections. * Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts. * Support payroll processing and maintain employee expense reports. * Assist with monthly and yearly closings. * Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations. * Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information. * Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records. * Collaborate with project teams to monitor budgets, cost control, and progress billing. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * 1–3 years of experience in accounting, **preferably in the construction or contracting industry**. * Basic knowledge of UAE VAT regulations. * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems). * Strong MS Excel skills. * Good organizational and time management abilities. * Accuracy and attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. **Preferred:** * Familiarity with project-based accounting or construction cost control. * Knowledge of local compliance and tax filing requirements in the UAE.
