The Junior Design Coordinator - Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the design and development of infrastructure projects. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing timelines, and delivering high-quality designs that meet project requirements. **Key Responsibilities** **Project Coordination:** * Coordinate infrastructure design activities across multiple teams and disciplines. * Ensure design deliverables align with project goals, timelines, and budgets. * Act as the primary point of contact between design teams, contractors, and clients. **Design Management:** * Review and approve infrastructure designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. * Provide technical guidance and support to design teams. * Identify and resolve design-related issues during the project lifecycle. **Stakeholder Collaboration:** * Work closely with engineers, architects, planners, and other stakeholders to develop integrated infrastructure solutions. * Facilitate communication between internal and external teams to ensure alignment on project objectives. **Quality Assurance:** * Conduct quality checks on design documents and specifications. * Ensure designs meet safety, environmental, and sustainability standards. **Documentation and Reporting:** * Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design plans, progress reports, and compliance records. * Present updates and recommendations to senior management and clients. **Regulatory Compliance:** * Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations. * Stay updated on changes in infrastructure design standards and codes. **Qualifications** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field – Masters degree is preferable. * **Experience:** + 7 years of relative experience in infrastructure design or project coordination. + Proven track record of managing design projects from concept to completion. * **Skills:** + Strong knowledge of infrastructure design principles, standards, and best practices. + Proficiency in software design (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D). + Excellent organizational and time management skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. **Preferred Qualifications** * Professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP, LEED). * Experience in sustainable infrastructure design. * Familiarity with GIS tools and data analysis. * Familiar with ADQCC Standards **Work Environment** * Office-based with occasional site visits. * May require travel to project locations. **Key Competencies** * Problem-solving and critical thinking. * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Leadership and team coordination. * Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic project environments. * Client and statutory authorities interfacing skills.
