Lead Software Engineer - L1 | Fulltime
**Job Description:**
provides advanced technical expertise, deep troubleshooting capability, and platform-level ownership across the luxury hotel and resort digital landscape. This role handles the most complex production issues, leads root cause analysis, optimizes system performance, and collaborates closely with engineering teams to improve platform stability.
This role supports and enhance systems such as **AEM, Salesforce Core Clouds, SFMC, MuleSoft APIs, Java BFF, AWS ROSA**, mobile applications, **Echo Mobility**, **Travel Studio**, and core integrations essential to delivering seamless guest experiences.
* Act as the **highest escalation point** for complex incidents across AEM, Salesforce, MuleSoft, BFF, AWS, and mobile/frontend apps.
* Perform deep-dive troubleshooting using logs, traces, API diagnostics, SQL queries, and cloud monitoring.
* Lead **Root Cause Analysis (RCA)** and implement long-term technical fixes.
* Analyze and optimize **microservices, APIs, cache layers, and cloud infrastructure** for performance and resilience.
* Develop automation scripts, tools, and workflows to prevent recurring issues.
* Support deployments, validate release stability, and work closely with DevOps for CI/CD improvements.
* Review and optimize MuleSoft flows, BFF orchestration, and integration logic.
* Enhance monitoring (Datadog/CloudWatch) and create actionable alerts and dashboards.
* Work with engineering teams to improve code quality, logging, error handling, and architecture.
* Mentor L1 engineers and help build technical capability across the support organization.
* Ensure platform security, compliance, and governance across AWS, Salesforce, AEM, and APIs.
* **Fast and accurate resolution of complex incidents** across AEM, Salesforce, MuleSoft, AWS, BFF, mobile, and booking platforms.
* **Root Cause Analysis (RCA)** with documented long‑term technical fixes and prevention plans.
* **High system reliability and performance**, ensuring all guest‑facing platforms achieve agreed SLAs/uptime.
* **Optimized integrations and APIs**, ensuring stable data flow between CRM, booking, mobility, mobile apps, and CMS.
* **Improved monitoring and alerting**, including new dashboards, logs, and proactive detection (Datadog/CloudWatch).
* **Support for deployments and releases**, validating stability and minimizing production regressions.
* **Technical guidance to L1 team**, plus updated runbooks and knowledge articles.
* **Automation and performance improvements** across backend, cloud, and integration layers.
* **Secure and compliant systems**, aligned with company data privacy and security standards.
**Job Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering.
* Experience in hospitality environments.
* 5+ Years of Experience.
**Technical Requirements**
+ **Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)** – deep troubleshooting, components, dispatcher, performance tuning (**Must have)**
+ **Salesforce Core Clouds** (Sales, Service, Data Cloud) – advanced issue resolution (**Must have)**
+ **Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)** – journeys, automations, API issues (**Must have)**
+ **MuleSoft** – API debugging, flow optimization, Anypoint troubleshooting (**Must have )**
+ **AWS Cloud** – ROSA (OpenShift), RDS PostgreSQL, Redis, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Route 53, WAF(**Must have)**
+ **Backend‑For‑Frontend (Java BFF)** – microservices debugging & API orchestration
+ **Advanced SQL** – complex queries, performance tuning, data integrity checks
+ **Monitoring & Observability Tools** – Datadog, CloudWatch.
+ **Mobile Apps** – understanding of iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) & Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose)
+ **Frontend** – React & Next.js issue debugging
+ **Integration & API Expertise** – REST, JSON, OAuth, JWT, API performance & security
+ Strong log analysis & root cause investigation skills
**Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:**
* Experience in **luxury hotel or resort operations**
+ Knowledge of **CI/CD pipelines** (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
+ Knowledge of AWS, Salesforce, AEM.
+ Understanding of **containerization/OpenShift/Kubernetes**
+ Exposure to **mobile app QA/testing tooling** (Firebase, TestFlight)
+ Strong grasp of **API security**, caching, and CDN optimization
+ Experience with **observability enhancements** (dashboards, alerts, log enrichment)
