We’re Hiring: Logistics Assistant (Basra) – Iraqi Nationals OnlyJob SummaryWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to be based in Basra, responsible for supporting logistics operations across multiple contracts, managing vehicle fleets, and ensuring smooth coordination between operations, procurement, and finance. The role involves maintaining accurate records, supporting audits, handling procurement activities, and ensuring all logistics processes run efficiently in line with company policies and client requirements.Responsibilities • Maintain detailed records of vehicles maintenance and inspection. • Provide direct support for 9 contracts with more than 100 vehicles and over 400 employees. • Work closely with the Operations Manager to provide replacement or additional vehicles based on client requirements. • Perform weekly and monthly audits on manpower and equipment, report damages or losses, and arrange replacements. • Be accountable for monthly vehicle maintenance, fuel tracking, and ensuring all vehicles are serviceable and compliant with safety policies; report and follow up on non-compliance. • Investigate accidents and incidents, initiate insurance claims, and compile detailed incident reports; conduct regular vehicle inspections. • Maintain office expense records, prepare monthly reports, and coordinate with the Finance Department for reimbursements while ensuring operational cash availability. • Issue purchase requests for spare parts, vehicle equipment, office supplies, and uniforms. • Prepare equipment for new contract mobilization and support ongoing contract expansion or reduction. • Organize warehouse operations, catalog goods, and conduct inventory checks on materials and company assets. • Maintain accurate procurement records including quantities and specifications. • Verify supplier and third-party workshop invoices against services provided. • Identify and assess scheduling risks and propose corrective actions.Qualifications • Iraqi nationality is required. • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar role is preferred. • Good understanding of logistics and transportation processes. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. • Advanced English speaker with good written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook). • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.📩 Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications via email to “[email protected]”, ensuring that the position title is stated in the email subject line.
