For a **Mechanical Site Engineer** position in Abu Dhabi requiring 6 to 10 years of experience, the following mandatory requirements and core responsibilities typically apply to both construction and infrastructure projects. **Mandatory Core Requirements** * **Education**: A **Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering** is mandatory. For senior roles, this degree must often be **attested by the UAE Ministry of Education**. * **Regulatory Approvals**: * **Engineer License Card**: Registration in the Engineers’ Registration System on the **TAMM** platform is required to engage with government entities in Abu Dhabi. * **Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM)**: Familiarity with ADM codes and local regulations is essential for site inspections and design compliance. * **Civil Defence (ADCD)**: Approval and knowledge of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence standards for fire and life safety systems are critical for site execution. **(optional)** * **UAE Driver’s License**: Most site-based roles require a valid UAE driving license for movement between projects. **Technical Experience (6–10 Years)** * **System Specialization**: Proven expertise in **HVAC** (chilled water, DX, VRF), **Plumbing** (drainage, water supply), and **Firefighting** (sprinklers, suppression systems) is mandatory. * **Consultancy vs. Contracting**: Candidates with at least 3–5 years of specific **UAE experience** are preferred, particularly those who have worked with engineering consultancies or major MEP contractors. * **Software Proficiency**: Mastery of **AutoCAD** and **Revit (BIM)** for reviewing shop drawings and coordinating with other disciplines (Electrical, Civil). **Key Site Responsibilities** * **Installation Supervision**: Leading the on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with approved drawings. * **Quality Control (QA/QC)**: Conducting inspections (ITRs), raising non-conformance reports (NCRs), and ensuring all materials used match approved Material Approval Requests (MARs). * **Technical Office Support**: Reviewing shop drawings, method statements, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and preparing "As-Built" drawings for project handover.
