Mechanical Site Engineer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Site Engineer for a **short-term 2-month contract** to oversee and manage on-site mechanical works for an oil & gas or petrochemical project. The candidate will ensure that all mechanical installations, maintenance, and construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Supervise and coordinate all mechanical site activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment and piping systems * Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, API) * Monitor site progress and provide regular updates to project management * Review and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documents * Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, instrumentation) * Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures on-site * Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards * Identify and resolve technical issues or delays on-site * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports * Assist in material planning, procurement, and site logistics * Participate in site meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders * Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities * Ensure proper documentation and handover of completed work **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field * 3–8 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industrial projects * Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, rotating/static equipment * Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, etc.) * Experience with site supervision, construction, and commissioning activities * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills * Good communication and teamwork abilities * Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines **Contract Details:** * Duration: **2 months (fixed-term contract)** * Location: Fujairah * Immediate availability preferred Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary Contract length: 2 months Ability to commute/relocate: * Fujairah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Application Question(s): * Are you available Immediately Experience: * Oil and Gas/ Petrochemical: 4 years (Required) Work Location: In person
