MEP Estimation Engineer

**Job Title: MEP Estimator – Interior Fit-Out** **Location:** UAE **Job Type:** Full-Time **Industry:** Interior Fit-Out / MEP **Position Overview** We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient **MEP Estimator** to join our client’s interior fit-out team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in preparing accurate cost estimates for **MEP works**, with solid knowledge of **HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems**. The role requires hands-on expertise in MEP pricing, local market rates, materials, and suppliers within the UAE. Prior experience working in the interior fit-out industry is highly preferred. **Key Responsibilities** * Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand MEP scope requirements. * Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for **HVAC, electrical, plumbing**, and related MEP services. * Conduct quantity take-offs and develop BOQs for all MEP systems. * Analyze project risks, constraints, and technical requirements to ensure precise pricing. * Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive quotations and updated market pricing. * Evaluate subcontractor bids and align them with project specifications and budget. * Work closely with the design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure accuracy in estimates. * Prepare technical and commercial proposals, cost breakdowns, and tender submissions. * Support value engineering efforts to optimize costs while maintaining quality and compliance. * Ensure compliance with **UAE regulations, codes, and standards** while preparing estimates. * Maintain a database of pricing, suppliers, and historical cost records for future reference. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field). * Minimum **3–5 years of experience** as an MEP Estimator in the **UAE**—preferably within the interior fit-out sector. * Strong knowledge of **MEP pricing**, especially **HVAC and electrical packages**. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting MEP drawings and specifications. * Experience in preparing BOQs, cost breakdowns, and tender documentation. * Strong vendor and supplier network within the UAE market. * Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills. * Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software is an advantage. * Strong communication and time-management skills. **Preferred Skills** * Experience with **interior fit-out projects** (retail, commercial, residential). * Knowledge of MEP codes and regulations in the UAE. * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
