MEP Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute **MEP Estimation Engineer** to support our interior fit-out projects across commercial offices, retail, F&B, and high-end residential segments. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, and value engineering solutions for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in line with project specifications and client requirements. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Estimation & Tendering** * Analyze drawings, BOQs, and specifications for MEP systems in fit-out projects * Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection works * Floating RFQs to suppliers/subcontractors and evaluating quotations * Prepare tender submissions, including technical and commercial proposals * Ensure compliance with project scope and authority regulations (DEWA, Civil Defense, etc.) **2. Cost Planning & Value Engineering** * Conduct value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality * Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative materials/systems * Prepare cost comparison reports and benchmarking data **3. Coordination** * Liaise with design, procurement, and project teams for inputs and clarifications * Coordinate with MEP subcontractors and suppliers during estimation stage * Assist in resolving discrepancies between drawings and BOQs **4. Post-Tender Support** * Participate in client meetings and technical discussions * Support project team during handover from estimation to execution * Assist in variation cost estimation and change order pricing **Key Requirements** **Education** * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field **Experience** * 5–8 years of MEP estimation experience in interior fit-out / contracting companies in the UAE * Strong exposure to commercial offices, retail, F&B, and residential fit-outs **Technical Skills** * Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire fighting systems * Proficiency in AutoCAD and quantity take-off tools * Experience with estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, CostX, or similar) * Good understanding of UAE authority regulations (DEWA, DM, Civil Defense) **Commercial Skills** * Strong costing, negotiation, and analytical skills * Ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines * Knowledge of market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors in UAE **Soft Skills** * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Good communication and coordination skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Team player with proactive approach **Preferred Qualifications** * UAE Driving License * Experience in turnkey fit-out projects * Familiarity with LEED / sustainability standards (optional) **KPIs / Success Metrics** * Accuracy of estimates vs. actual project cost * Tender win ratio * Timely submission of tenders * Cost savings achieved through value engineering Job Type: Full-time Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month Education: * Bachelor's (Required) Experience: * MEP estimation : 5 years (Required) Work Location: In person
