**Operations Manager – Construction (Sharjah Division)**
**Location:** Sharjah, UAE
**About the Company**
GRANS Contracting is a well-established contracting firm in Dubai with over 20 years of experience across civil, MEP, and interior fit-out works.
As part of our expansion, we are activating our **Sharjah contracting division**, focused on delivering villa, low-rise building, and commercial projects across the emirate.
We are seeking a **hands-on and commercially aware Operations Manager** to lead and build this division from the ground up - someone who understands the Sharjah market and can drive both execution and growth.
**Role Overview**
The Operations Manager will be responsible for setting up and managing the full operational framework of the Sharjah division. This includes project execution, team setup, subcontractor management, and coordination across all functions.
This is a **build-and-run role**, requiring someone who can operate in a lean environment, take ownership, and scale operations as the project pipeline grows.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Lead the setup and structuring of the Sharjah division (team, processes, workflows)
* Oversee execution of multiple projects
* Manage site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality delivery
* Establish operational systems, reporting structures, and performance KPIs
* Coordinate across design, engineering, procurement, QS, and finance functions
* Monitor project costs, procurement efficiency, and subcontractor performance
* Support pre-contract activities
* Pricing strategy aligned with Sharjah market conditions
* Build and maintain a strong subcontractor and supplier network in Sharjah
* Ensure compliance with local regulations and authority requirements
* Report directly to senior management with operational updates, risks, and growth strategies
**Requirements**
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* **10–15 years of UAE construction experience**
* **Strong experience in the Sharjah construction market (mandatory)**
* Experience handling **multiple projects simultaneously**
* Strong knowledge of Sharjah authority approvals, processes, and regulations
* Strong commercial awareness with focus on cost control and cashflow
* Leadership mindset with hands-on execution capability
