Piping Design Engineer

The ***Piping Engineer*** is a part of the engineering team that support projects in their capability to offer engineering assistance in pre-insulated pipe design applied above as well as below ground. The piping engineer shall prepare layout drawings and bills of material from engineering notes and sketches to suit individual projects in the scope of the Engineering services offered from Engineering. The operational responsibilities of this position include: · Conducted Lead Piping Stress Analysis tasks, Piping Layout, Pipe supports design, piping isometric, MTOs and Piping load to Structure using Caesar-II & Pipe-Plus in both static and dynamic condition. · Coordination with Client review, Mechanical, structural, process and site engineer. · Technical & Project management of piping engineer team such as training and task set up through projects. · Created 3D models such as fittings, spools and pr-insulated pipe details. · Good knowledge of Industry Standards like AS, API, B31.1 & B31.3, ASME, UBC, ASTM, UKOOA · Adequate drafting capability in both 2D and 3D software package such as AutoCAD, Inventor and Solidworks. · Development of FEA for mechanical machines and structures using Cosmosworks or similar design tools. · Adequate physical and mental strength to maintain Steady Productivity during Project. Managing Piping Scope of Work · Piping Stress Analysis of various pipe materials such as CS, SS, Duplex for static & dynamic checking by B31.1 & 3. · Piping 3D model Review and Plant layout · Build CADWorx models for Iso Extraction, Pipe in pipe, Stress analysis & BOQ extraction. · Create and maintain CADWorx database & specification files. · Generate PDL, Spool shop drawings, detailed drawings for external and internal submission. · Capable of handling Machine drawings & Plant layouts for in-house Facility requirements. · Support Department works on urgent deliverables which includes Stress analysis enclosures and other general documentation works. · Capable of handling/managing multiple projects and ensuring in-house production remains uninterrupted. · Committed to follow Department Standards and Procedures complying to ISO objectives.
