Our client was established in 1972 with a team of Architects and Engineers pursuing a clear vision of delivering projects that meet both the needs of clients and fulfil the very essence of design sustainability. Having completed over 800+ varied projects across all industries and across all emirates of the UAE, we are one of the few design offices who understand dynamics of project development in the region. Our team has handled projects such as high-rise towers, infrastructure planning, mixed-used facilities, Industrial logistics, luxury homes, etc. **Position Overview:** ​​​​​​The **Planning Engineer** is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of construction projects. This role plays a key part in developing realistic project timelines, tracking progress, identifying risks, and supporting the project team with accurate planning and reporting. Working closely with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, the Planning Engineer ensures effective coordination, optimal resource utilization, and continuous improvement of planning processes throughout the project lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules, incorporating all tasks, milestones, and deliverables. * Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and relevant stakeholders to gather project requirements and establish an efficient execution plan. * Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to identify potential risks, constraints, and opportunities. * Prepare and update project progress reports, highlighting critical activities, potential delays, and corrective actions to mitigate risks and schedule deviations. * Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, identify discrepancies, and ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications. * Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and external parties to ensure timely availability and delivery of materials, manpower, and resources. * Perform resource allocation and optimization to ensure effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials. **Requirements to Apply:** * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline. * Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience, preferably with extensive exposure to projects in Dubai. * Proficient in Primavera and Microsoft Office applications. * Monitor and control project costs by tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities. * Participate in project meetings by providing progress updates, raising concerns, and recommending improvements. * Collaborate with the project team to identify and implement process improvements aimed at enhancing project efficiency and effectiveness.
