Process CAD Designer / Drafter

Rawafid is seeking a highly skilled Process CAD Designer / Drafter to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other CAD drawings essential for process engineering projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accurate and efficient design documentation that supports successful project execution. Key Responsibilities * Develop and revise P&IDs using SmartPlant P&ID or equivalent tools * Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs) in coordination with process engineering requirements * Develop process equipment layout drawings in alignment with plant design and spatial constraints * Prepare piping schematic diagrams to support system understanding and construction * Support instrument loop diagram development and coordination with I&C discipline * Manage ISA 5.1 symbol libraries and ensure consistency across all process drawings * Extract and maintain line lists from P&IDs and ensure data accuracy * Perform consistency checks between P&IDs, line lists, and related engineering databases * Develop process area plot plans in coordination with other disciplines * Prepare chemical dosing system schematics and related process diagrams * Develop utility flow diagrams for plant systems and support infrastructure design * Incorporate HAZOP findings into P&ID updates and markups Manage drawing revisions and ensure compliance with project document control procedures **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Chemical/ Process Engineering or Drafting Technology * 6 years of relevant experience in process/chemical CAD design * 3+ years of relevant experience in producing P&IDs and PFDs for desalination or water treatment plants * Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Certificate is a plus * AutoCAD certification is preferred * Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings. * Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and project stakeholders. * Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to project deadlines. * Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and best practices in process engineering.
