Procurement Engineer

**Job Title:** Senior Procurement Engineer **Location:** United Arab Emirates **Industry:** Construction / Infrastructure **Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement for large-scale Civil projects, along with a strong network and database of reliable local vendors and suppliers within the UAE market and techno-commercial feasibility analysis. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead and manage the procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services(majorly Civil). * Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and vendors. * Utilize an established vendor database to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery. * Prepare and evaluate technical and commercial bids, negotiate contracts, and finalize purchase agreements. * Ensure procurement activities comply with project specifications, budgets, and timelines. * Coordinate with Head of Operations and General Manager to understand procurement requirements and reporting to Procurement Manager. * Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost. * Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategic sourcing initiatives. * Stay updated with market trends, material availability, and pricing fluctuations in the UAE construction sector. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field). * Minimum 8–12 years of procurement experience in the construction industry, preferably in the UAE. * Strong knowledge of local suppliers, subcontractors, and market conditions. * Proven experience managing vendor databases and supplier relationships. * Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. * Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems. * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in large-scale infrastructure or high-rise building projects. * Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS) are an advantage. **What We Offer:** * Competitive salary package * Career growth opportunities * Dynamic and collaborative work environment **How to Apply:** Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV along with a cover letter highlighting relevant experience in UAE procurement and vendor management on [email protected].
