Production & Planning Engineer

* **Process Management and Optimization:** * Develop, implement, and monitor production processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing. * Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity and reduce waste. * Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and improve workflow. * **Quality Assurance:** * Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications. * Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products. * Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve quality issues. * **Production Planning and Scheduling:** * Assist in the development of production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization. * Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or changes in demand. * Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components. * **Equipment and Maintenance:** * Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. * Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and maintained to prevent downtime and ensure consistent product quality. * Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with the maintenance team. * **Safety and Compliance:** * Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. * Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including OSHA and other relevant guidelines. * Conduct safety training and drills to maintain a culture of safety awareness. * **Data Analysis and Reporting:** * Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. * Prepare and present reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics. * Utilize data to make informed decisions and recommendations to management. * **Team Collaboration:** * Work closely with the production team, quality assurance, supply chain, and other departments to achieve production goals. * Provide technical support and guidance to production staff. * Participate in cross-functional teams to address production challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives. **Qualifications:** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. * **Experience:** Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel pole production or a similar industry. * **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in CAD software, manufacturing process design, and familiarity with lean manufacturing principles. * **Analytical Skills:** Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. * **Communication Skills:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. * **Attention to Detail:** High level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards. * **Leadership:** Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate production teams, manage projects, and implement process improvements.
