**Job Title: Project Engineer (Aluminum & Façade)** **Department:** Engineering **Reports To:** Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer **Job Type:** Full-Time **Job Overview:** We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled **Project Engineer** specializing in **Aluminum & Façade Systems** to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing the technical aspects of façade projects, including design, coordination, and implementation of aluminum and glass systems. The Project Engineer will work closely with architects, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and according to the highest quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Project Planning and Coordination:** * Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines. * Coordinate the execution of aluminum and façade system projects from concept to completion. * Manage project scope, ensuring all technical specifications are met. * **Design and Technical Support:** * Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and submittals. * Provide technical guidance for the design and installation of aluminum and façade systems. * Assist in the preparation of shop drawings and detailed technical documentation. * **Vendor and Supplier Management:** * Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely procurement of materials. * Oversee the quality control and assurance of materials used in façade construction. * Evaluate suppliers and sub-contractors for capability, quality, and reliability. * **Site Management and Supervision:** * Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and quality standards. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations, site procedures, and quality control protocols. * Address any on-site issues, providing engineering solutions to overcome challenges during installation. * **Cost and Budget Control:** * Assist in preparing project budgets, cost estimates, and financial tracking. * Monitor project costs to ensure they remain within budget, identifying and mitigating risks that could lead to cost overruns. * **Collaboration and Communication:** * Maintain open communication with project managers, design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders. * Report on project progress, milestones, and any issues that may impact timelines or deliverables. * **Quality Assurance:** * Ensure the delivery of high-quality aluminum and façade systems according to project specifications. * Conduct inspections and tests on materials and final installations. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or related field. * Proven experience (5 to 10 years) in project engineering or design, specifically within the aluminum and façade industry. * Strong knowledge of façade systems, including curtain walls, cladding, glazing, and other related aluminum structures. * Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other relevant engineering software. * Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and codes relevant to façade design and construction. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment. * Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. * Knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
