Resident Engineer

We are seeking a **Resident Engineer to** oversee all utility-related works on the GEC Project . The role will ensure compliance with design, specifications, and authority standards while supervising site teams and coordinating with key stakeholders. * Act as the Engineer’s Representative on site and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. * Supervise construction activities to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements. * Review and approval of contractor submittals including: * Monitor project progress, quality, health & safety, and environmental compliance. * Coordinate daily with contractors, subcontractors, and inspectors to resolve site issues. * Chair and attend site coordination meetings, inspections, and progress meetings. * Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and applicable codes/standards. * Review contractors’ claims, variations, and technical queries (RFIs). * Identify construction risks and recommend corrective/preventive actions. * Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to the Project Manager. * Liaise with local authorities and utility agencies as required. * Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities. * Ensure all works comply with HSE regulations and WSP quality standards. * Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred). * 15+ years’ experience, including 7+ years in an RE role on large infrastructure/ projects. * Strong knowledge of local authority approval processes. * Previous GEC/Ashghal project experience is highly desirable. * MMUP Registered Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.
