**Job Summary:**
SamTech is seeking a highly technical and commercially aware Sales Engineer to support the sales lifecycle through solution design, technical consultation, and pre-sales engagement. This role bridges the gap between customer requirements and technical delivery, ensuring that SamTech’s solutions particularly in Fleet Management, IoT, and Location-Based Technologies are effectively positioned, architected, and delivered to meet client needs. The Sales Engineer will work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to drive solution-based selling and revenue growth.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Pre-Sales & Solution Engineering:**
* Engage with customers to **gather, analyze, and translate business and technical requirements** into tailored solutions.
* Design and propose **end-to-end technical solutions** including hardware, software, connectivity, and integration components.
* Prepare **technical proposals, solution architectures, and bill of quantities (BoQ)**.
* Conduct **product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and technical workshops** for clients.
* Support RFP/RFQ responses with detailed **technical documentation and compliance matrices**.
**Sales Support & Commercial Alignment:**
* Partner with Sales to **develop winning strategies** for opportunities and support deal closure.
* Provide **technical validation and feasibility assessments** during the sales cycle.
* Assist in **pricing strategies** by aligning technical scope with commercial requirements.
* Maintain and update **sales pipeline and technical activities** in ERP/CRM systems.
**Technical Expertise & Delivery Support:**
* Provide expertise in:
+ **Fleet Management Systems**
+ **GPS / GNSS tracking technologies**
+ **Route Optimization & Dispatch Systems**
+ **Fuel Monitoring & Telematics Solutions**
+ **IoT-based asset tracking and monitoring**
* Ensure solutions are aligned with **customer infrastructure, scalability, and integration requirements**.
* Work with engineering teams to ensure **smooth handover from pre-sales to implementation**.
**Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:**
* Act as a **trusted technical advisor** to customers and stakeholders.
* Support key accounts with **technical consultations and solution enhancements**.
* Provide ongoing **technical insights and recommendations** to improve customer operations.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:**
* Minimum **1-3 years of experience** in a **technical pre-sales or sales engineering role** within technology solutions.
* Strong understanding of **solution-based selling** in IoT, telematics, or enterprise software environments.
* Hands-on knowledge of:
+ GPS and telematics hardware.
+ Communication protocols (e.g., GSM, LTE, IoT connectivity).
+ Software platforms and system integrations (APIs, cloud-based solutions preferred).
* Ability to create and present:
+ **Solution architectures and technical diagrams.**
+ **Technical proposals and documentation.**
* Strong **analytical and problem-solving skills** with attention to detail.
* Excellent **communication and presentation skills**, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Proficiency in **Microsoft Office tools** (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with CRM/ERP systems is a plus.
* Ability to work in a **fast-paced, target-driven environment** while maintaining technical accuracy.
**Education:**
* Bachelor’s Degree in **Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology**, or a related field.
**Requirements:**
* Valid **UAE Driving License**.
* Willingness to **travel within the UAE and region** for client meetings and site visits.
* Immediate availability preferred.
