**Senior Accountant** **Company:** Star Gallery Mart **Location:** Sharjah, UAE **Industry:** Retail / E-commerce / Electronics **Job Type:** Full-time (On-site) **About Us** Star Gallery Mart is a fast-growing electronics and lifestyle retailer in the UAE, operating through physical stores, website, and mobile app. We offer a wide range of products including mobile phones, accessories, home appliances, and trending items across multiple branches. **Job Summary** We are looking for an experienced **Senior Accountant** to lead and manage full accounting operations across multiple branches. The ideal candidate must have strong UAE experience, excellent financial control, and the ability to ensure accuracy in reporting, compliance, and team performance in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment. **Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting** * Manage cash flow and daily financial operations * Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) * Perform budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis * Analyze branch/site profitability and provide recommendations **Accounts & Closing** * Handle month-end and year-end closing * Review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations * Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records **Receivables & Payables** * Monitor accounts receivable and payable * Follow up on outstanding payments * Handle supplier payments and cheque processing **Daily Accounting Operations (Supervision & Control)** * Perform supplier ledger reconciliations by comparing supplier statements with company records and resolving discrepancies * Prepare and process supplier payments accurately and on time * Record customer bank transfers and ensure proper allocation in the system * Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple accounts (e.g., ADIB, RAK, and others) * Record and verify daily merchant transactions (POS, payment gateways, and BNPL providers such as Tabby, Tamara, etc.) across all branches * Maintain proper filing and documentation of payment vouchers for all branch transactions * Organize and maintain supplier invoices with proper branch-wise filing and record keeping **Bank & Internal Control** * Perform and review bank reconciliations * Maintain strong internal financial controls * Identify, correct, and improve accounting processes and systems **VAT & Compliance** * Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with FTA regulations * Handle **Corporate Tax filings, calculations, and compliance** * Ensure full compliance with UAE tax laws and regulations * Maintain proper tax documentation and records * Support internal and external audits **Branch & Team Management** * Manage and supervise junior accountants across all branches * Ensure all reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time * Review, correct, and guide accounting work across locations * Maintain consistency and proper financial control across all branches **System Optimization** * Review and improve the company’s accounting system and processes * Identify inefficiencies and implement better controls and workflows **Operations & Coordination** * Manage and monitor all Star Gallery Mart branch accounts properly * Coordinate with internal departments for accurate financial reporting * Coordinate with marketing team and influencers to track and verify related expenses and payments **Reporting & Analysis** Prepare and present reports including: * Financial statements * Budget vs actual reports * Cash flow forecasts * KPI and performance reports **Additional Duties** * Inter-company reconciliations * WPS preparation * Petty cash and expense control * Vendor payment scheduling * Maintain proper documentation and records **Requirements** * Minimum **5+ years UAE experience** as Senior Accountant * Strong knowledge of **VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS** * Experience in **retail or e-commerce industry preferred** * Proven experience managing **multi-branch accounting operations** * Proficiency in **ERP systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle, etc.)** * Advanced **Excel skills** * Strong leadership and team management skills * Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability **Education** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance **Important Notes** * Must be currently based in UAE **Important Note (Before Interview)** Before attending the interview, candidates are expected to: * Visit our website: https://stargallery.ae * Review our social media platforms * Download and explore the *Star Gallery Mart* mobile app (iOS & Android) * Understand our business model, products, and multi-branch operations * Be prepared with ideas or suggestions related to accounting, financial control, or process improvement **Candidates who come well-prepared will be given priority.** Job Type: Full-time Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
