Senior Accountant

**Company:** Sky Sun Vegetables & Fruits Trading LLC **Location:** Dubai, United Arab Emirates **Job Type:** Full-time **Job Summary:** Sky Sun Vegetables & Fruits Trading LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented **Senior Accountant** to oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance documentation, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in trading, retail, or FMCG environments and be capable of managing daily accounts while supporting management with accurate financial information and analysis. **Key Responsibilities:** * Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and cash flow monitoring. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. * Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and supported. * Supervise invoicing, supplier payments, customer receipts, credit control, and expense bookings. * Perform bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, customer reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations where applicable. * Monitor petty cash, cash handling, and daily sales reconciliations from POS and other sales channels. * Review inventory-related accounting entries and coordinate with operations on stock movement, shrinkage, and valuation issues. * Prepare schedules and supporting documents for VAT, tax, audit, and other compliance requirements. * Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory bodies when required. * Support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis. * Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of accounts. * Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce errors or fraud risk. * Review accounting processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy. * Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure proper task allocation and follow-up. * Assist management with financial analysis, business performance reports, and decision-making support. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. * Minimum **4–7 years** of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE. * Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, payable/receivable management, and cash flow control. * Experience in trading, retail, supermarket, food, or distribution businesses is highly preferred. * Good knowledge of VAT documentation, audit preparation, and compliance support. * Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Odoo, SAP, or similar systems. * Strong Microsoft Excel skills. * Good understanding of inventory accounting and margin analysis. * Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. * Good English communication skills; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage. **Preferred Qualifications** * UAE experience in a similar senior accounting role. * Professional accounting qualification is an advantage. * Experience handling multi-branch or high-volume daily transaction environments. * Ability to lead and supervise junior accounts staff. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. **Personal Attributes** * Reliable and trustworthy * Strong leadership and organizational skills * Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Commercially aware and detail-oriented * Proactive and solution-focused **Salary** AED 3000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications **Benefits** As per company policy and applicable UAE regulations.
