Accountants play a key role in supporting the financial operations in Dubai. This position is responsible for managing both day-to-day accounting activities and statutory reporting, financial analysis, and compliance, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across processes. The role includes hands-on responsibility for bookkeeping and financial operations, alongside ownership of statutory financial statements, VAT and corporate tax compliance, and regulatory requirements in the UAE. The position provides direct support to the Regional Controller and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, auditors, and corporate stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate, and reliable financial information. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities:** * Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and documentation for internal and external audiences. * Assist to manage the accounting work. * Collaborate with the Finance Manager and other stakeholders to manage financial reporting, planning, and analysis activities. * Assist in coordinate audits, working closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and address inquiries. * Analyse financial data, trends, and variances to provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and efficiency. * Assist in planning of the budget, forecast, and financial projections in alignment with company goals. * Responsibility for inter-company reconciliation and interfaces. * Support corporate request. * Assist with the company’s cash flow. * Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests as necessary. * Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements in compliance with local regulations and IFRS. * Take full ownership of VAT filings, corporate tax, and regulatory compliance in the UAE. **Core Competencies:** * International Law & Compliance: Understanding of international business and compliance standards applicable to operating in multiple countries. * Cross-Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds and across different jurisdictions. * Teamwork and Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and business unites across different geographical locations to achieve common goals and objectives * Regulatory & Tax Expertise (UAE): Strong knowledge of VAT, corporate tax, and local compliance requirements. * Hands-on Accounting: Ability to independently manage full-cycle accounting. * Ownership & Accountability: End-to-end responsibility on processes. **Skills & Experience Required:** * BA degree in accounting * At least 5 years accounting experience * In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards. * Proven experience in full-cycle accounting (bookkeeping to reporting) * Strong knowledge of VAT and corporate tax in the UAE – must * Excellent communication skills in English – Must. * Experience in a global company or a multinational environment. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. * Independent and well-organized with multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize. * Excellent excel skills. * Experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365 – advantage) **Expectations to be Successful in Role/Key Success Factors:** * Ability to manage both hands-on accounting and statutory/tax responsibilities * Accurate and timely financial reporting with full compliance **What can you expect as a member of the Fluence team?** * Interesting, engaging, and challenging work * The ability to make a difference * Growth opportunities * Engaged and motivated colleagues from around the world * Diverse and global organization * Approachable leadership * A team-oriented environment * The ability to make a mea
