Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and providing financial reports to support strategic decision-making. This role includes overseeing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. * Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and closing activities. * Review and verify accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries. * Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities. * Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other financial laws. * Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation. * Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. * Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvements. * Oversee junior accountants and provide guidance when needed. * Coordinate with management on financial planning and reporting. * Implement and improve accounting policies, systems, and procedures. Skills & Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred). * Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and financial reporting. * Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.). * Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Attention to detail and strong time-management capability. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
