Dedicated to helping businesses across various industries ensure secure and seamless digital interactions. By leveraging our innovative technologies and services. We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to take ownership of the architecture, development, and optimization of the company Android applications and enterprise SDKs. You will work on building core mobile components that handle digital identity verification, liveness detection, facial matching, and OCR for Egyptian IDs. This role goes beyond standard UI development; you will build complex flows for e-contract signing, Identity Hub logins, and secure integrations. Because our software operates in a highly regulated environment, the architectural and security decisions you make today will fundamentally shape the reliability, compliance, and scalability of our products. You will be instrumental in evolving our mobile platform, focusing heavily on low-latency operations, robust security, and seamless SDK integration for enterprise clients. **Key Responsibilities** * **Design and Architect:** Build high-quality, modular, and scalable Android apps and SDKs using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android architecture components. * **Drive Advanced Integrations:** Implement complex mobile flows including camera-based face capture and matching, liveness detection integrations, OCR scanning of national ID cards, and secure OTP authentication. * **Develop Enterprise SDKs:** Build reusable, configurable Android SDKs for enterprise clients, ensuring clear public APIs, comprehensive developer documentation, versioning, and backward compatibility. * **Enforce Security & Compliance:** Implement rigorous mobile security best practices, including encrypted storage, secure Keystore, certificate pinning, and code obfuscation, ensuring full compliance with FRA, ITIDA PKI, and GDPR requirements. * **Optimize Performance:** Debug and resolve complex issues related to Android device fragmentation, sensor variability, hardware-level camera constraints, and image processing to ensure low-latency biometric operations. * **Ensure Quality & Stability:** Build and maintain unit tests, UI/Instrumentation tests, and automated regression suites to ensure the absolute robustness of camera flows and network interactions. * **Collaborate & Lead:** Work closely with backend, security, ML, DevOps, and product teams. Mentor junior and mid-level Android engineers, raising the engineering standards and technical documentation quality across the mobile team. **Requirements** * 5+ years of professional experience in Android app development, with a proven track record of shipping production-grade software. * Deep expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Room, Navigation). * Strong understanding of Coroutines and asynchronous programming, with the ability to manage complex thread handling efficiently. * Extensive, hands-on experience utilizing CameraX / Camera2 APIs to handle device fragmentation and varying hardware capabilities. * Proven experience integrating MLKit or custom ML pipelines specifically for face detection and OCR processes. * Solid understanding of secure networking (HTTPS/TLS, certificate pinning) and handling RESTful APIs and JSON. * Prior experience building reusable SDKs, libraries, or white-label mobile modules meant for third-party developer consumption. * A strong ownership mindset with excellent debugging skills and the ability to thrive in a compliance-driven, high-security environment. **Nice To Have** * Experience working in fintech, regtech, identity verification, or highly secure B2B product environments. * Understanding of digital signatures, PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), or certificate-based authentication. * Exposure to liveness detection algorithms or biometric spoof-prevention methodologies. * Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Firebase Test Lab). **Benefits** * **High-Impact Work:** Build critical infrastructure that directly combats fraud and secures digital ecosystems for major enterprises. * **Career Growth:** Take ownership of technical direction for the mobile platform with clear pathways to tech lead roles as we scale our engineering team. * **Cutting-Edge Technology:** Work daily with advanced biometric processing, device-level hardware APIs, and stringent enterprise security protocols.
