**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced **Senior Commercial Quantity Surveyor** to manage all commercial, contractual, and cost-related aspects of projects. The ideal candidate will handle **client coordination, payment certifications, variations, and cost control**, ensuring smooth cash flow and protection of company commercial interests.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Commercial & Contract Management
* Review and interpret contracts, BOQs, and project specifications
* Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
* Manage contractual correspondence with clients and consultants
* Identify risks, delays, and commercial impacts
Payment Applications (IPC / IPA)
* Prepare and submit **Interim Payment Applications (IPA/IPC)**
* Coordinate with client/consultant for approvals and certifications
* Track payment status and follow up for timely release
* Maintain proper documentation for all submissions
Variations & Claims
* Identify, prepare, and submit **variation claims**
* Maintain variation logs and supporting documents
* Prepare **Extension of Time (EOT)** claims if required
* Negotiate with clients for approval of variations
Cost Control & Monitoring
* Monitor project cost vs budget
* Prepare cost reports and forecasts
* Identify cost-saving opportunities
* Control project cash flow and financial performance
Measurement & Documentation
* Verify site measurements and progress
* Ensure alignment with drawings and BOQ
* Maintain WIR/MIR logs and commercial records
* Ensure proper documentation for audits
Team & Coordination
* Lead and guide junior QS team members
* Coordinate with **Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Planning Team**
* Attend client meetings and commercial discussions
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering
* Minimum **8+ years of experience** in construction/steel/PEB projects
* Strong experience in **IPC/IPA, variations, claims, and contract management**
* Knowledge of **FIDIC contracts** preferred
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* Proficiency in **Excel and reporting tools**
