Senior Financial Accountant

**Job Summary** Thiub Smallwares Inc is a trusted supplier of quality kitchen equipment, smallwares, and hospitality supplies to restaurants, hotels, and catering businesses across the UAE. Our operations hub is located near Dubai Airport, allowing us to serve clients with speed and efficiency. As we continue to expand our distribution network, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in a hybrid capacity. We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to oversee our financial operations, including inventory accounting, cost control, financial reporting, and compliance. You will work closely with warehouse management, procurement teams, and senior leadership to ensure accurate financial records and support strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for a finance professional who understands the nuances of inventory-driven businesses and enjoys the flexibility of hybrid work. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations. * Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations with a focus on supplier and customer accounts. * Oversee inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations, and periodic physical inventory counts. * Ensure compliance with VAT regulations, including accurate treatment of imports, exports, and local sales. * Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and customs authorities as needed. * Monitor cash flow, working capital, and inventory turnover to support operational needs. * Develop and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls specific to a trading and distribution business. * Provide financial analysis and reporting to support leadership decision-making on pricing, supplier negotiations, and stock levels. * Supervise and mentor junior finance team members as needed. **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is strongly preferred. * 5-8 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, ideally within wholesale, distribution, retail, or F&B supply industries. * Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT regulations, UAE customs procedures, and financial reporting requirements. * Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis. * Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. * Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight monthly closing deadlines. * Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is an asset. * Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaboratively in the office near Dubai Airport. * Reliable high-speed internet connection for remote work days. * Must have a valid UAE PASS for digital identity verification and onboarding. **How to Apply** Ready to lead financial operations at Thiub Smallwares Inc?
