Senior Financial Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant who understands project-based accounting, cost tracking, and cash flow management in a fast-paced construction environment. This is a remote role, but you will stay closely connected to our operations near Dubai Airport. **The Role** This is not a traditional desk job. As our Senior Financial Accountant, you will manage the financial backbone of a growing electrical contracting company. You will track project costs, monitor supplier payments, ensure timely client invoicing, and keep our cash flow healthy enough to fund the next big contract. You will work remotely, but you will collaborate daily with project managers, procurement teams, and company leadership. If you have experience in construction or MEP accounting and want the flexibility of remote work, we want to talk. **Duties** * Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations. * Manage project-based accounting, including cost tracking, WIP schedules, and contract profitability analysis. * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. * Ensure timely client invoicing based on project milestones and progress claims. * Monitor cash flow, working capital, and retention receivable to support operational needs. * Ensure compliance with VAT regulations, including proper treatment of contractor transactions and imports. * Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners. * Develop and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls for a contracting business. * Provide financial analysis and reporting to support leadership decision-making on bids and project margins. * Supervise and mentor junior finance team members as needed. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
