Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Industry: Interior Fit-Out Key Responsibilities: * Prepare mechanical design drawings and layouts for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems. * Perform heat load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing. * Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to ensure design integration. * Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents. * Ensure all designs comply with UAE local authority regulations and standards. * Conduct site visits and provide technical support during project execution. * Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve design-related issues. * Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of design work. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. * Minimum 5 years of experience in the UAE, preferably in interior fit-out projects. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting system design. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software (Revit is a plus). * Familiarity with UAE codes and standards (e.g., DEWA, DM, Civil Defense). * Excellent communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in high-end commercial, retail, or hospitality fit-out projects. * Knowledge of sustainable design practices is an advantage.
