With a proven record in residential, commercial, hospitality, educational, and sports facility designs, the firm is known for offering value engineering and technical support to developers and the construction industry.​​​​​ **Role Overview:** We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented **Senior Mechanical Engineer** to join their Abu Dhabi team. The ideal candidate will lead the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical systems across a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring compliance with UAE authority regulations and international standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead the design and development of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems * Prepare and review mechanical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports * Ensure all designs comply with UAE authority regulations (DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defense, etc.) and international standards * Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines to ensure integrated design delivery * Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation * Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and optimization of mechanical systems * Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, and authority coordination * Support construction supervision teams by responding to RFIs and resolving on-site technical issues * Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards * Mentor and guide junior engineers and design staff **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred) * Minimum 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering within consultancy environments * Proven experience working on **high-rise buildings, mixed-use, residential, commercial, or hospitality projects** * Strong knowledge of **HVAC design, chilled water systems, ventilation, plumbing, and firefighting systems** * In-depth understanding of **UAE codes, authority requirements, and approval processes** * Proficiency in software such as HAP, Elite, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other design tools * Familiarity with international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local codes * Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * Preferred: Abu Dhabi engineering registration / DMT / municipality license * Experience working on GCC projects (UAE experience highly preferred) * Knowledge of sustainability standards and energy-efficient design (e.g., Estidama, LEED) * Experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration Application Question(s): * Did you include the projects you worked on in your CV? * Did you include your latest CV in your application? * Do you have HVAC design, chilled water systems, ventilation, plumbing, and firefighting systems?
