Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. **Job Description:** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Project Controls Manager** to join our team! **What You'll Be Doing:** Leads a team of cost engineers/accountants performing internal budget control and cost forecasting, among other cost and schedule management functions which includes: * *Set up baseline budget (resource/revenue/cost) with appropriate WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), interfacing with various disciplines and in coordination with the Project Manager and Scheduler.* * *Analyze, evaluate, forecast and report cost status against the established baseline in collaboration with the planning team* * *Prepares/updates various weekly and monthly cost tracking reports* * *Establishes resource, revenue and cost projections for projects in coordination with project teams* * *Performs variance analysis against the baseline projections and initiates/recommends corrective actions* * *Utilizes historical data and trends for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting* * *Monitors and tracks project progress and performs Earned Value Analysis* * *Understanding of planning and scheduling concepts, EVMS, and related software* * Participate in the monthly & quarterly reviews and support the project team to explain the variances, justifications * Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex cost control problem for construction and design projects * Supports the Project Director in reviewing and finalizing the business plan * Completes performance reviews for direct reports and provides personnel development * Customizes project control systems to meet specific project requirements * May interface with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports * Coordinates with Corporate Project Control/Legal/Finance/Commercial/ Planning teams as appropriate to fulfill above responsibilities and resolve the issues related to: Financial matters, Procurement of Subconsultants or vendors, Prime Contracts with Clients, Subconsultant Contracts, Taxation * Establishing the best practices for budget/forecasting and cost controls and implementing at project level * Coordinating with other Departments to ensure that all costs are properly charged on jobs and project cost control person has full visibility * Support the billing and Collection process from preparing invoices to coordinating with other stakeholders for timely collection * Preparation of multiple Trackers / Logs to monitor cost related information and issues. * Preparers and Provides Project Controls related subject/content * Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** * Bachelor of Engineering or Commerce/Finance/Business or construction management or related field * 15+ years of experience in construction/design projects * Thorough knowledge of industry, the best practices and regulations. * Experience with Project Controls / Management systems (Oracle PM, Primavera, PMIS etc.) * Good written and oral communication skills * Excel Advanced knowledge * Stakeholders Management * Power BI knowledge Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
