**ABOUT THE COMPANY** Quocor Smoke is not a traditional tech company. We are a rapidly growing manufacturer and distributor of smoking accessories and wellness products, operating across the UAE and international markets. Based in Dubai Marina, we are building a proprietary e-commerce platform, inventory management system, and customer analytics tools to scale our operations. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to write clean code and see it deployed in a real, fast-moving business environment. **THE ROLE** We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of our internal and customer-facing digital platforms. You will work closely with our operations, sales, and logistics teams to build scalable solutions that improve inventory tracking, order fulfillment, and customer experience. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from our Dubai Marina office and remotely from home. You will not just write code; you will help shape the technology strategy of a growing company. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications for e-commerce, inventory management, and customer relationship management. * Build and optimize backend services and APIs to support warehouse operations and order processing. * Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications. * Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish coding standards. * Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and system outages. * Manage deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure). * Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems. * Document technical designs, APIs, and system architectures. **CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS (MANDATORY)** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role. * Strong proficiency in backend development using Node.js, Python (Django/FastAPI), or Java (Spring Boot). * Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular. * Solid understanding of database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and caching (Redis). * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS EC2, Lambda, S3, or Azure equivalents). * Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins). * Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, or custom solutions) is a strong asset. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. * Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic or South Asian languages are a plus. * Must have a valid UAE PASS for digital identity verification and onboarding. **SELECTION PROCESS** We follow a straightforward two-step hiring process: **Step 1: Technical Screening.** Shortlisted candidates will complete a brief coding assessment relevant to our stack. **Step 2: Technical Interview.** Successful candidates will meet with our engineering lead and operations director to discuss past projects and system design. **HOW TO APPLY** Click "Apply" and submit your resume along with a link to your GitHub, portfolio, or a brief description of a project where you built a system that handled inventory or order management.
