**The Role**
We are seeking a versatile **Service Engineer** who possesses a rare blend of high-level technical expertise and commercial acumen. Based in Dubai, you will be the face of our technical support, responsible for the maintenance and integration of precision printing and color management hardware. Beyond technical repairs, you will act as a strategic partner to our clients, identifying opportunities to upgrade their support through our service programs and ensuring long-term retention across the GCC.
**Key Responsibilities**
* **Precision Technical Support:** Provide expert installation, calibration, and repair for **Computer to Plate (CTP) machines**, **Epson Large Format Printers**, and high-precision **Spectrophotometers**.
* **Systems Integration:** Execute hardware-to-software connectivity, including integrating third-party hardware into existing machinery for real-time data collection and IoT monitoring.
* **Service Sales & Retention:** Proactively identify opportunities to convert ad-hoc repair clients into long-term **Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC)**. Pitch the value of our service programs to ensure customer uptime and loyalty.
* **Preventative Maintenance:** Execute scheduled service protocols to minimize client downtime and ensure color accuracy and machine longevity.
* **Field Operations & Travel:** Manage on-site service requirements across the UAE and represent Phoenix Colour during frequent **travel across the GCC** to support our regional client base.
* **Accountability:** Maintain accurate service logs and parts consumption records within **Microsoft Dynamics** to ensure transparent billing and inventory tracking.
**Qualifications**
* **Education:** **Diploma in Electronics Engineering** or a related technical field is mandatory.
* **Experience:** Proven track record in the **Print and Packaging industry**. Hands-on experience with Kodak CTP and Epson Large Format Printer Service with certification is highly desirable.
* **Connectivity Skills:** Ability to troubleshoot and configure hardware interfaces for data collection and third-party integrations.
* **Commercial Mindset:** Strong communication skills with the ability to "sell" the value of service contracts and retain a loyal customer base.
* **Mobility:** Must be willing and able to **travel extensively across the GCC countries**. A valid UAE Driver’s License is required.
