**Location :** Riyadh, Saudi Arabia **Industry:** Real Estate / Large Assets / Construction **Availability:** Immediate **Role Overview** The **Smart City Design Expert** is responsible for defining, structuring, and integrating smart city concepts into large-scale real estate developments and complex assets such as mixed-use districts, malls, campuses, airports, or large urban infrastructures. This role sits at the intersection of **urban design, real estate development, digital systems, and operational performance**. The focus is not academic smart cities, but **deployable, value-driven solutions** aligned with asset lifecycle, ROI, and long-term operations. **Key Responsibilities** **Smart City & Digital Design** * Define smart city strategies adapted to **large real estate assets** (districts, malls, mega-projects, portfolios). * Translate urban and real estate objectives into **functional smart systems** (mobility, energy, security, utilities, digital services). * Design integrated smart city architectures (ICT, IoT, data platforms, digital twins where applicable). **Real Estate & Asset Integration** * Work closely with **developers, asset managers, and operators** to align smart solutions with business and operational goals. * Ensure smart systems support **asset value, user experience, sustainability, and operational efficiency**. * Integrate smart requirements into **masterplans, concept designs, and technical specifications**. **Technical Coordination** * Coordinate with urban planners, architects, MEP engineers, IT teams, and system integrators. * Define use cases, system interfaces, data flows, and interoperability requirements. * Review and validate smart city design deliverables from consultants and vendors. **Performance & Sustainability** * Support energy efficiency, smart mobility, environmental monitoring, and resource optimization strategies. * Contribute to ESG objectives through measurable, technology-enabled solutions. * Define KPIs and performance monitoring frameworks for smart assets. **Stakeholder & Project Support** * Support client presentations, workshops, and design reviews. * Provide expert input during tenders, RFPs, and technology selection phases. * Ensure alignment between design intent and operational reality. **Required Profile** **Background & Experience** * Strong experience in **real estate development or large-scale assets** (urban districts, malls, campuses, airports, large mixed-use projects). * Proven exposure to **smart city, smart buildings, or digital infrastructure projects**. * Experience working on **complex, multi-stakeholder developments**. **Skills & Expertise** * Solid understanding of: + Smart city frameworks and digital urban systems + Real estate asset lifecycle (design, construction, operations) + ICT, IoT, data platforms, and system integration principles * Ability to bridge **technical design and business objectives**. * Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills. **Profile Type** * Real estate–oriented expert, **not purely IT or academic**. * Pragmatic, solution-driven, capable of designing **implementable smart solutions**. * Comfortable working on large, high-value assets with long-term operational vision. **Job Category:** Construction Large Assets Real Estate **Job Type:** Engineering Management **Job Location:** Riyadh Saudi Arabia
