Software Senior Test Engineer

**Role Description** This is a full-time **hybrid** role for a **Software Quality Assurance Engineer** at **Intalio**, located in **Cairo, Egypt**, with flexibility for remote work several days per week. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will primarily focus on performing comprehensive **manual testing**, including detailed component, integration, front-end, and back-end testing. Responsibilities will also include executing and validating **API tests**, conducting basic **performance testing**, maintaining clear **test reporting**, and collaborating closely with agile software development teams to ensure optimal software quality and delivery. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, execute, and document detailed **manual test cases and scenarios**. * Conduct thorough **Functional, Usability, Compatibility, Acceptance, Component, and Integration Testing**. * Perform rigorous **front-end and back-end testing** activities, ensuring comprehensive coverage and detailed defect reporting. * Execute and verify results from **API testing** using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar tools. * Conduct basic **performance testing** to identify software bottlenecks and recommend improvements. * Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members throughout the agile lifecycle. * Prepare clear, detailed, and actionable **test reports**, communicating defects, test statuses, and risks effectively. * Participate actively in refining QA processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. **Qualifications** * **2–5 years** of professional experience in software quality assurance with a strong emphasis on **manual testing**. * Excellent knowledge of the **software development and testing lifecycle (SDLC/STLC)**. * Familiarity and experience working within **Agile software development** processes. * Demonstrated expertise in **Functional, Usability, Compatibility, and Acceptance testing**. * Solid understanding of **Component, Integration, Front-end, and Back-end testing** practices. * Hands-on experience with **API testing** (RESTful APIs). * Basic knowledge or exposure to **performance testing** techniques (e.g., JMeter). * Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. * Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science** or related technical discipline required.
