TECHNICAL ENGINEER (QA/QS)

**Job Title: Technical Engineer (QC/QS)** **Location:** Dubai. UAE **Employment Type:** Full-time / Contract **Industry:** Construction / Engineering **Job Summary** We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Engineer (QC/QS) to oversee quality control processes and manage quantity surveying activities for ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with project specifications, maintain high-quality standards, and support cost control and contract management. **Key Responsibilities Quality Control (QC):** * Monitor and ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards. * Conduct inspections, material approvals, and testing in coordination with consultants and clients. * Prepare and maintain quality documentation such as ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), checklists, and reports. * Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. * Coordinate with site teams to resolve quality-related issues. **Quantity Surveying (QS):** * Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on drawings and specifications. * Evaluate subcontractor quotations and assist in procurement processes. * Prepare interim payment applications, valuations, and final accounts. * Monitor project costs, variations, and budget control. * Review and certify subcontractor invoices and variations. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. * Proven experience in QC and/or QS roles within construction or engineering projects. * Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality standards. * Familiarity with contract terms (FIDIC preferred). * Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity take-off software. * Good understanding of cost control and project budgeting. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and coordination abilities. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in UAE/GCC projects. * Knowledge of local authority regulations and standards. * Certification in quality management (e.g., ISO standards) is an advantage. * Membership in professional bodies (optional). **Skills** * Quality assurance & control * Quantity take-off & estimation * Cost control & budgeting * Contract management * Attention to detail * Team collaboration Job Type: Full-time Experience: * TECHNICAL ENGINEER (QA/QS): 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person
