Accountant

Job Title: Accountant (Interior Design / Fit-Out Company) Job Overview The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations of an interior design or fit-out company, including project costing, invoicing, payroll, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting * Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses) * Maintain general ledger and bookkeeping * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements Project Costing (Important in interior companies) * Track project-wise expenses (materials, labour, subcontractors) * Prepare job cost reports for each project * Monitor budget vs actual cost Invoicing & Payments * Prepare client invoices based on project milestones * Follow up on payments and manage receivables * Process supplier payments and purchase invoices Payroll & Expenses * Handle staff payroll and overtime calculations * Manage petty cash and reimbursements VAT & Compliance (UAE-specific) * Prepare and file **VAT returns (FTA compliance)** * Ensure proper tax documentation and records * Support external audits Bank & Reconciliation * Perform bank reconciliations * Manage company cash flow Reporting * Prepare monthly management reports * Assist management with financial planning and forecasting Skills & Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance * 3–5 years experience (preferably in interior / construction / contracting) * Knowledge of **Tally / QuickBooks / Zoho Books / ERP systems** * Strong understanding of **UAE VAT laws** * Good Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas) * Attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Experience in Interior Companies * Project accounting / job costing * Handling subcontractor payments * Material procurement tracking * Retention money management UAE Work Environment Note Interior companies in UAE often require accountants to: * Work closely with project managers * Handle multiple ongoing projects * Manage tight billing schedules and client approvals. **MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN UAE IN INTERIOR COMPANY** **STRICTLY NO CALLS ONLY WHATSAAP 0503893437** Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
