Accountant

**About the Role** Go Rise DMCC is a fintech company operating two entities — Go Rise DMCC in Dubai and Efingen Technologies in India. We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Accountant to own our books, VAT compliance, and financial reporting across both entities. This is a one-person finance function. You will keep the accounts clean, filings on time, and audits ready — proactively and independently. We work in Xero and you need to know it well. Some light admin support will also sit with this role. **What You'll Own** * Day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliation in Xero for both entities * UAE VAT filing and compliance — quarterly, accurate, and on time * Monthly financial reporting — P&L, balance sheet, receivables, payables * Audit preparation — records audit-ready year-round * Payroll processing for UAE and India staff * Accounts receivable and payable — invoices, follow-ups, reconciliations * Reimbursements, petty cash, and expense management * Coordination with external auditors and the DMCC portal * Light admin support — vendor coordination and office basics **Requirements** **Must-Have** * Own UAE residence visa (sponsorship is not offered) * UAE accounting experience with strong knowledge of local compliance * Xero proficiency — able to work independently from day one * UAE VAT filing experience — filed before, not just studied **Also Important** * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent * Fintech or startup experience preferred * Strong attention to detail — catches errors before they become problems * Proactive communicator — flags issues early, doesn't wait to be asked * Presentable, warm, with strong written and spoken English **What Success Looks Like — First 90 Days** * All Xero accounts fully reconciled and up to date for both entities * VAT filing current with no outstanding submissions * Monthly financial reports delivered on time, every month * Audit package prepared and ready **Why Join Us** * Work directly with company leadership — your work has real impact * Stable, growing fintech with operations across the UAE and India * Autonomous role with clear ownership from day one * Convenient Dubai location, Monday to Friday schedule *To apply, submit your CV with a brief note on your Xero and UAE VAT experience.* Pay: Up to AED6,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
