Accountant – Construction Madatory

**Location:** Dubai, UAE **Company:** Abu Alnaga Contracting L.L.C **Job Description:** Abu Alnaga Contracting L.L.C is hiring a highly experienced **Accountant** with a strong background in the **construction or contracting industry in Dubai**. The candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, project cost control, and ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations, including VAT. **Key Responsibilities:** * Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations * Oversee job costing and track project budgets, costs, and profitability for multiple active construction projects * Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements * Process AIA billing / progress billing and manage subcontractor payments and lien waivers * Monitor and manage WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules and over/under billing reports * Assist with payroll processing, including certified payroll for prevailing wage projects where applicable * Ensure compliance with tax regulations, construction contracts, and internal financial controls * Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and track change orders * Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors * Maintain and improve accounting procedures specific to construction operations **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. * **Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience** in a **construction or contracting company** in Dubai. * Deep knowledge of **UAE VAT laws** and project-based accounting systems. * Proficient in accounting software such as **Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems**. * **Fluent in English.** * Immediate joiners will be given preference.
